Biography

Andrea Antonelli is General Counsel at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. He is responsible for all legal aspects of Gavi’s operations.

A value-driven and inclusive leader, Andrea brings to Gavi over 25 years of international experience in dealing with complex transactions and contentious matters, private and public stakeholder management, and leading large multicultural teams.

Immediately prior to joining Gavi, Andrea worked at ABB, where he held various positions including group general counsel, company secretary and member of the executive committee. Previously, Andrea worked in leadership roles at Tetra Pak, Fluor Corporation and General Electric, as well as in private practice at DLA Piper.

Andrea holds a law degree from the University of Florence, Italy, and a Master of Laws (LLM) from King’s College London, United Kingdom. He is a qualified lawyer and solicitor.
