David Sidwell

Member of the Board of Directors and the Nominating and Governance Committee, Chubb Ltd

David Sidwell is Director, since May 2014, and Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee, since May 2023, of Chubb Limited. He was a member of the Audit Committee until May 2023.

Mr Sidwell was Senior Independent Director, Chair of the Risk Committee and member of the Governance and Nomination Committee of UBS AG from May 2008 until May 2020 when his term ended. Mr Sidwell was a director, Chair of the Risk Policy and Capital Committee, and member of the Compensation Committee of Fannie Mae, Washington D.C. from December 2008 until October 2016.

Mr Sidwell was a senior advisor to Oliver Wyman, New York providing financial services advice until September 2022.

Mr Sidwell was a Board Member, Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee, member of the Market-Sensitive Decisions Committee and member of the Investment Committee of the Gavi Alliance, Geneva, Switzerland until December 2021 when his term ended, and on the Board (Chair of the Board until May 2019) of Village Care, New York. He was a Director, and Chairman of the Strategy Committee of the National Council On Aging, Washington D.C. until September 2017.

Mr Sidwell was Executive Vice President and CFO of Morgan Stanley between 2004 and 2007. Before joining Morgan Stanley he worked for JPMorgan Chase & Co. for 20 years where he held a number of different positions. Prior to this, he was with Price Waterhouse in both London and New York.

Mr Sidwell graduated from Cambridge University and qualified as a chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
