Anna Sedgley

Former Group Chief Financial Officer, Bauer Media Group 

Anna Sedgley’s career spans finance, operations and corporate strategy in global media and tech-enabled industries. Her most recent role was as CFO at Bauer Media Group where she played an integral role in portfolio and technology transformations across fifteen markets. Prior to this, she held senior positions at News Corporation in London and New York, culminating in her roles serving as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Dow Jones. Alongside overseeing financial activities and governance, Ms Sedgley has focused on navigating industry disruptions and driving digital growth. 

Ms Sedgley is currently a non-executive board member and chair of the audit committee at FiscalNote Inc. She is also on the board of trustees of the Royal Shakespeare Company and the British Army Benevolent Fund. Furthermore, Ms Sedgley assists Happy Doggo, a social media led animal charity. Previously she has served on several other boards including the American Press Institute, News Media Alliance, Dow Jones News Fund and NYC Outward Bound Schools.  

Ms Sedgley holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Adelaide and completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program in 2016. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. She resides in London and is a citizen of the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States.
