This week @Vaccines will be curated by Chris Endean from Gavi’s communications team.

Even before Nepal’s devastating earthquakes earlier this year, health workers faced some of the world’s toughest geographical obstacles in their efforts to deliver vaccines. Then, two massive quakes in less than a month killed 18 health workers, injured over 70 others and destroyed almost 500 public health facilities.

This week, Chris Endean is visiting Gorkha, epicentre of the first earthquake, to assess the impact on the national immunisation system. Follow his tweets as he talks to people on recovery’s frontline: health workers based in temporary clinics, families living in corrugated iron shelters and community leaders rebuilding before the winter snow.
