Cholera diagnostic tests are useful for targeting cholera prevention and control measures, including use of oral cholera vaccines (OCV).The Gavi Alliance is working to make fit-for-purpose cholera diagnostic tests available to countries eligible for Gavi new vaccine support in order to make cholera vaccination efforts more effective, efficient, and equitable.
